Cathy is a popular and highly respected makeup artist in the Washington, DC area. Her passion for the art is evident in her extensive resume, which is packed with a variety of makeup work that makes her one of the area’s leading artists. She is continually educating herself and staying on top of the latest trends, incorporating them with her signature style. Cathy hails from South Africa where she spent the first part of her makeup artistry career, before immigrating in 1995 and covering the Washington, DC area. She loves to travel and is lucky that her work has taken her globally and has been featured internationally.

For over 35 years, Cathy has shared her artistic talent in almost every avenue of makeup. Her success can be credited to building on her excellent grounding, studying Art and Graphic Design, Health and Beauty Technology and Make-up Artistry. Her training with the legendary Bob Schiffer, make-up master at Disney Studios, added to her variety of makeup skills. She is HD proficient, including airbrushing.

Keeping talent safe and working in a clean environment has always been important to Cathy. She follows the highest levels of on-set Safety, following CDC guidelines and has numerous sanitization and Covid-19 Safety certifications. She has also trained to be a Covid Compliance Officer for Productions, a Pandemic Compliance Advisor for Meetings and Events, as well as a Contact Tracer.
